Living Room

So, the house is 400 years old and is a traditional oak frame. There are lots of oak beams throughout the house, alas those in the living room have had manky black paint liberally applied, this makes the room feel cold (make no mistake it is cold!). We have been looking for a method to strip the beams for a while and after a very unsuccessful experiment with the highly recommmended ‘klingstrip’, we reseorted to having them blasted..

Rather messy and we had to take everything out of the room, even to the point of uncliping all the mains wiring, as the fuse box is in the room this was rather a large undertaking..

Anyway, before…

Time passes, we got some proper painters to sort the walls, I laid the underfloor heating then Dave the mystic chippie sorted the floor.

Need to connect the underfloor heating, get a new telly, move the f@@kin piano, do more wiring, sort some storage, buy some chairs and a rug…..
